It’s been a productive week. Since taking my hubby’s advice and scheduling my days into blocks of time for each project on my plate, I’ve been getting my blogging done more quickly, and I’ve finished up two projects that had been hanging over my head for weeks. And I’ve still had time to read! After the jump, some of my favorite articles and blog posts from the past week:
- The Urban Muse’s 5 Tips for Organizing Source Material
- The New York Times’ Remnants of the Boom Years on Sale
- Modite’s How to Start a Video Blog
- Examiner’s Twitter Apps for Your Job Hunt
- Silicon Alley Insider’s Twitter Switches From TinyURL To Bit.ly
- The Renegade Writer’s Connecting with Editors on Social Media
- WordCount’s The Well-Dressed Blog Post
- FreelanceSwitch’s 5 Mistakes That Will Cost You Your Client
- The Blog Herald’s If I Could Start My Blog Over Again…
- WordCount’s 5 Ways to Blog Every Day Without Freaking Out
Happy weekend everyone!
Thanks for the link love. Two of my posts made the list & Linda Formichelli interviewed me for the Renegade Writer post on connecting with editors on social media. Blogalicious!
BTW – I’ve been toying with the block system ever since doing a Q&A with Leah Ingram, http://michellerafter.wordpress.com/2009/04/22/wordcount-qa-suddenly-frugals-leah-ingram/ a magazine writer, book author and blogger at Suddenly Frugal. She’s incredibly organized and uses the block system. If you stick to this and have great success I’d love to hear about it.

Thanks for including my post on your list – looking forward to checking the rest out.
Hello ladies – Thanks for providing me with such awesome content from day-to-day. My Google Reader wouldn’t be the same without you.
@Michelle – I’ve been loving the block system so far, as it seems to help me with getting a lot more done! Otherwise, my tasks seem to expand to exceed the amount of time I actually have. There have been days this week where I’ve gone off-track due to unforeseeable roadblocks but, on the whole, I think I’m going to continue using this tactic.
